Study of the intermittent plasma structure around the divertor simulation experimental module in GAMMA 10/PDX

We have investigated the generation region of intermittent plasma structures, which could be due to blob-like cross field transport around divertor simulation experimental module (D-module) in tandem mirror device GAMMA 10/PDX. A positive skewness ion saturation current was clearly seen when electrode movable probe located at radial edge and just front entrance limiter D-module. Fourier analysis conditional averaging clarified that spikes intermittently appeared same region. This is first indication phenomenon producing high-density isolated structures occurred upstream negative also found, large amplitude fluctuation detected between regions showing skewness. Furthermore, this light emission fluctuations become stronger during transient state from attached detached on V-shaped target.
